PRESENTATIONS & WORKSHOPS

Combining knowledge and fun, Sydell's presentations encompass storytelling and interactive activities. Using pictures and historical artefacts she leaves the children with a memorable and knowledgeable experience of writing, book-making and history.  She enjoys varying the pace so the children's attention remains engaged as she shifts from story to artefacts, from knowledge to visuals and from speaking to Q & A.

Workshops focus on the children's writing, and enhance their skills in a friendly atmosphere of support and guidance. Topics covered include "tricks of the trade", left brain/right brain awareness, writing structure, characterization, re-tellings and ideas to stimulate the muse for months to come.
